Posted by nokiamania On January - 29 - 2010

The list of devices that currently support the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system included a mobile phone unknown to the public. It should be noted that the list is the official document of Nokia and it looks so: Nokia N71, Nokia N73, Nokia N75, Nokia N76, Nokia N80, Nokia N81, Nokia N91, Nokia N92, Nokia N93, Nokia N93i, Nokia N95, Nokia E50 -1, Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E62, Nokia E65, Nokia E70, Nokia E90, Nokia 3250, Nokia 5500 Sport, Nokia 6290, Nokia 6110 Navigator. In this long list someone drew attention to the three characters, a non-existent phone: N81, and the Internet at once was filled with rumors.

There were no officially available images, and much less technical characteristics of Nokia N81 “virtual” phone. The public expressed a variety of versions regarding its “characteristics”. They said that Nokia N81 has 10 GB of memory, 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, support A2DP profile, and even 3D-dynamics. Nokia did not comment on the assumption of the enthusiasts.

Nokia E66 – the best business phone

Posted by nokiamania On January - 28 - 2010

Here we would like to mention Nokia E66 – an analog of Nokia E71 smartphone, deprived of a full-size QWERTY-keyboard and executed in the slider form factor. The corporate design of Eseries line further emphasizes the business status of the model. Compared with its predecessor, Nokia E65, the model lost the strange frivolity in design (for example, the red color version of the case), acquiring solid form and content. Retaining the verified design, excellent ergonomics, decent case materials and build quality (causing criticism in a number of other models of the company), the smartphone has received numerous innovations – such as support for Wi-Fi (in corporate interests it supports all security standards), GPS, 3,2 — megapixel camera with autofocus. The Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition software platform allows you to calculate the abundance of third-party software, including business functions.

Nokia N85 – The Best Symbian-Smartphone

Posted by nokiamania On January - 28 - 2010

Here, our choice fell on New Year’s novelty – the Nokia N85 model, which, by its features is an analog of last year’s N95 on positioning, but has a neat and more compact package. Once again, we face a 5-megapixel camera phone with rich features of Symbian OS S60 software platform. The analogue of the model in the classical form factor is another decent device – the Nokia N79 smartphone.

Nokia E71 – Best QWERTY-Device

Posted by nokiamania On January - 28 - 2010

Separately, I would like to mention a small but necessary segment of “smart” units – QWERTY-devices with fully functional keyboard. It is worth noting the appearance of a Nokia E71 model – the long-awaited successor of the two-year old Nokia E61 keyboard hit (and its updated version E61i). The novelty is not so comfortable with the terms of ergonomics (QWERTY-keyboard usability is rather questionable). But everything else has undergone substantial modernization. This includes the hardware capabilities (excellent performance, the increased amount of memory, wireless interfaces, excellent 3.2-megapixel camera autofocus, GPS), and software. After all, we should not forget that Nokia E71 is a Symbian-smartphone, which means that the business functionality of the device can be significantly enhanced through the installation of third party applications.
