Only 100 Thousand N900 Sold in Five Months?

Posted by L.K. On May - 31 - 2010

According to the Gartner- one of the major analyst firms, during the first five months of the sales, Nokia could sell only about 100 thousand N900 smartphones. According to the experts, the device failed to attract the attention of a wide range of customers and did not affect the positioning of the potential competitors.

The company Nokia itself declined to comment on the data announced by Gartner. The representative of the Finnish corporation only said that the company is quite satisfied with the sales of N900. “Its sales significantly exceeded our expectations” – was said at Nokia.

For comparison, 2, 5 months after the release of Nexus One, there were sold around 135 thousand copies of the smartphone from Google. The experts call this the result simply a disaster. During the same time Motorola has realized 1.05 million models of the smartphone Droid.

Posted by L.K. On May - 27 - 2010

It feels like the new flagship of Nokia is causing too much of interest from not only the potential buyers but also the analysts. And what is the most amazing thing about it? The fact that all of the impressions are exclusively positive.

The most recent info together with a list of photos comes from the journalist of my  My Nokia Blog. According to him, the new smartphone is very fast, and the display of the gadget is  simply “fantastic.” The journalist also noted the high quality of the sound of Nokia N8.

Interestingly, until  now Nokia N8  virtually got  no negative feedback. Is this smartphone that good? Let’s wait and we’ll see.

The fact that most of the car users are having a hard time to use mobile device in their car has been bothering both the mobile manufacturers and the automakers. That’s the main reason why Nokia and 5 Top German automakers jointed their forces to create an apps standard for all of the cars.

The working group of the 5 automobile manufacturers consists of Audi, BMW,Daimler, Porsche and Volkswagen, which are creating the so-called CE4A group. The main purpose of the overall work is to create an application which will fit for all the devices and also to make it possible to install it on every single model of cars.

The main advantage for the Nokia is going to be the fact, that it can install its Ovi navigation software into the cars and also get a chance to provide some support to the users with Ovi app store. Thus, the beneficial moments for the company are expected to influence  the sales and  popularity increase among the drivers.
