Posted by L.K. On June - 30 - 2010

It feels like Micorosoft is working over the project to bring Office Mobile to Nokia and other leading companies. This means getting serious over the mobile suite of the Microsoft Office. And fortunately the company was able to find a proper specialist to fill in the vacancy announced on the official site.

As it’s known this new feature will be fulfilling the specs of the upcoming Windows Phone 7 despite the fact that some version of it is already available for WinMo 6.5. But the modernized version of the Office suite is planned to be able to do whatever does the Microsoft Office for the typical PCs.

While the announcement of the vacancy has only Nokia announced and then come the “other leading companies”, it is most likely to include iOs, RIM and Android.

Posted by L.K. On June - 28 - 2010

We’ve got a chance to present another video demonstrating some of the coolest abilities of the most demanded gadget of Nokia- Nokia N8.

The video is brightened with the gray version of the gadget. The video allows us to evaluate the performance of a smartphone with e-mail and calendar, which is tightly integrated with the Ovi Maps service. This means that we can make some conclusions about whether this function got totally integrated into the new gadget or no. For example, it allows you to find the map location planned for a specific day of the meeting which is one of the most detailed things that this kind of features can allow themselves.

Recall that Nokia N8 is equipped with a special 12 megapixel camera with autofocus, Xenon flash, Carl Zeiss optics and multiple shooting modes which make this device ideal for video shooting.

Nokia N9 Video?

Posted by L.K. On June - 28 - 2010

Yesterday we presented the pics of the new Nokia device with 8 megapixel camera  and QWERTY keyboard rumored to be Nokia N9. And now  the same source is offering us a video demonstration of that exact device.

Recall, that some of the other sources call it to be Nokia N8-01. The most interesting out of the specs of the device is that it is not based on the newest OS of Intel and Nokia cooperation, but rather the typical Symbian^3.

So far the video is not deleted from the site in accordance to the official Nokia Company response, which gives us a hint that soon some official info will also get released.

Nokia To Revise Cooperation Conditions with Developers

Posted by L.K. On June - 28 - 2010

Nokia has announced a number of sufficiently strong changes in the conditions of cooperation with the third party developers. They must once again draw the attention of the creators of software to support the Finnish company platforms.

In particular, now to distribute their applications via Ovi Store can not be done only by companies but also by the individuals. Registration application in the directory will be free, but the material “load” for the developers will have an entry fee of 50 Euros.

In addition, Nokia has published a SDK for standard Qt. The utilities, based by the latter are compatible with both Symbian, and Maemo. Theoretically, this innovation should be of interest to software developers. In addition, from now on they will be able to deploy new applications in Ovi Store.

The current state of affairs of Nokia’s support from the developers especially for the OS is unenviable. Will the announcement make any changes to attract a sufficient number of partners?
