Soon the Indian market will be pleased with two of the first dual-SIM phones from Nokia – C1-00 and C2.

Both gadgets are going to join the mid-range device list due to the pricing and functionality.

Nokia C1-00 will land to India at a price of $ 42. This gadget will receive a color TFT-screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM-radio and a flashlight. The phone battery will last for 6 weeks in the standby mode.

Simultaneously, the phone can use only one SIM-card. But switching between them takes place very quickly.

Nokia C2 is slightly more expensive – $ 54. The phone runs on Symbian S40 platform and has an FM-radio with recording capability, 3.5 mm audio jack, VGA-camera and a slot for MicroSD cards.

The first shots of Nokia C6-01 appeared in the network already in late July. And today they are being followdd by a few qualitive pics of the upcoming new item. At the same time while some of the critics announced it to be too similar with C6, while in reality it’s not.

C6-01 is equipped with 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash (instead of the 5-megapixel camera which was present at the previous model ). Another change seems to have touched the operating system: while C6 is running Symbian ^ 1, C6-01 can be supported by Symbian ^ 3. It is assumed that the new smartphone will be presented at the Nokia World annual event which will take place on September 14 – 15. It is expected that at the same time it will be joined by the newest model Nokia C7.

The project to create a series of  Nokia N-Gagegaming phones, as it is known, has failed, despite the fact that technical assistance in its development was provided by Nintendo. But as it became known representatives of the PocketGamer, the Nintendo is not limited to one only support for Nokia, but in R&D department created their own game phone. It happened in the early 2000′s and precisely at the moment when the Nokia developed  N-Gage. The prototype proved to be workable and was demonstrated to the Board of Directors of the company Nintendo.

At this specific point the  fate  of the project ended. The model has not been approved as a promising project and the production has been received. According to a source PocketGamer, this happened because of the conservatism of the company, which always has a number of projects with R&D, but only a few of them saw the light. At the same time, when creating a game phone, another group of engineers began work on a portable gaming consoles DS. And it should be noted that this project was much more promising: in contrast to the Nokia N-Gage gaming consoles in the series, which has sold over 120 million. But studies for wireless communications were used to create the Wii and Nintendo 3DS. So to say that the board of directors of the company made a mistake – it is impossible.

Nokia prepared a new model of X3 music phone series, which will go on sale for the Chinese market under the symbol X3-02. This model is made in monoblock form factor, has a 5 megapixel camera and support for the work in the 3G and GSM networks. Another noteworthy fact is that at this moment X3-02 is a regular phone and has a touchscreen, and the operating system which is not Symbian.

After Spain and Italy, smartphone Nokia has appeared in local stores of French mobile operators.

Starting yesterday Nokia N8 smartphone is available for pre-order here. With advance ordering of Nokia N8 will cost 459 euros, which is 20 Euros less than the one offered in Germany. But the price is reasonable for the Germany as here there’s a wide range of taxes.

The smartphone will available in five different colors. But the number of gadgets is extremely limited. So they might not be enough for everyone, which means that close to the release date of the gadget most likely you will not be able to get one.

Nokia has announced about the plans to update the firmware for their two mobile phones – Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia 5530 XpressMusic (RM 504). New firmwares received v51.0.006 and v31.0.005 indexes respectively.

The improvements in the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone deal with the performance, email client, video calling and the browser. While the Nokia 5530 will get rid of the problems with Chinese characters, will have improved menus, the problem with voice calls and when it works the radio will also get solved. Some problems with the clock and date have also been fixed.

The firmware update for these two cell phones can be done via NSU (Nokia Software Updater).

We have already mentioned in one of our posts about the new Nokia 5250 smartphone, which has not yet announced officially, but was seen on the site of Ovi Store. This is the successor to an inexpensive mass model of Nokia 5230 in the same form factor of non-keyboard candy bar with a touch screen, only slightly differing with a few features.

The new device obviously will also be inexpensive. And now we have a larger and clearer image of the upcoming gadget. It has been placed, apparently by mistake, on the contest page on the Ovi site. They pointed out that the winner can choose one of the gadgets, including the unannounced Nokia 5250.

Still nothing is known about the specs of the smartphone. But it is easy to notice that in comparison with the body the touchscreen of it is pretty small. That is probably a simple and inexpensive model of secondary level. It may be powered by Symbian S60 5th Edition. There is a little possibility to have something better. Nokia had an announcement that 5250 will be released soon, but so far it is not known exactly when this will happen.

Now we got a short video demonstrating Nokia N8 smartphone browser. The video shows that the browser of the gadget supports kinetic scrolling and zooming with two fingers. However, when using the last item we have some visible serious brakes, which is not good.

The main advantage Nokia N8 of browser is the fact that it includes the ability to play Flash-videos, which used to be something missing in the previous models. Recall, that the device will go on sale in some regions this fall.
