Nokia set a new record via N8(0) On September 25th Nokia set a new record making the biggest cinema screen. It happened in Rosengard, Sweden, it was 1,428 square metre (that’s 51 metres x 28 metres), the previous record was set in Great Britain and the screen was measured 51m x 28m. Aproximately 1500 Swedes were watching The prince of Persia on the huge screen and all of them were surprised of the Nokia N8’s features, as the movie was shown through the Nokia N8’s mini HDMI port and sent to four XLM HD30 projectors and the screen was held by two giant cranes. I think this is a great marketing strategy to increase Nokia N8’s sales, though it was not an easy task, as it took a lot of planning, people and specialized equipment to make sure it all comes together. A sea of pics: Nokia C7, E7, C6-01 and C3 Touch and Type(0) Probably, all of you want to see how the phones introduced at Nokia World 2010 look. Three of these handsets run Symbian^3 OS and only the Nokia C3 Touch and Type is running the new touch-optimized version of S40. Now we have grabbed many pictures of Nokia C7, E7, C6-01 and C3 Touch and Type. Let’s look at them. All these phones are touch-based and it’s interesting that the C3 Touch and Type is less attractive (the only advantage of it is the mixture of touchscreen and hardware keyboard), but now these 4 phones are being introduced together, may be the developers want to do this model promotion in this way. Anyways, let’s get a look at the pics! Nokia E7

Video – The Original N-Series Vision – Mobile Computing 2010(0) When we talk about Nokia N-series phones, at first we imagine huge memory, wide touchscreen display, fast running processor, fine capturing camera, full QWERTY keyboard and much more features like supporting 3G, recording HD videos and running the latest version of an OS. Now the Nokia N8 is coming in more developed view, and the features it has got are very awesome. The specs mentioned above introduce the power of Nokia’s N series phones, though some fans have made amazing videos called “it’s not the technology, it’s what you do with it” showing N8’s use in different areas of life, but the Nokia N8 doesn’t need any additional ad, as it is very attractive with its features. The original N-series vision video is below, after enjoying it let’s see what features have the devices from N-series: Nokia N97 and N900 from N series are equipped with 32GB internal memory allowing users to keep more favorite multimedia files in their phones, the Nokia N8 comes with 16GB memory storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD slot. All the three smartphones come with 3.5 inches touchscreen displays, the main difference refers to Nokia N8’s AMOLED capacitive display, the other two handsets have got TFT resistive touchscreens. These phones run ARM processors, but if the Nokia N8 and N97 are working with 1GHz proccesors, the N900 runs 600MHz, also note that N8 suppors 3D graphics. N-series phones always stand out for their cameras: there are 5 Mp cameras behind N97 and N900, N8 now can capture with 12 Mp. In addition, Nokia N8 runs Symbian^3 OS (the N97 runs Symbian OS too, but the N900 does it with Maemo 5). Now we understand why Mobile Computing 2010 was designed to show how far you can push the boundaries with Nokia devices. |

Nokia N8 will arrive in the third week of October?(0) Nokia fans got some information about Nokia N8 release date from Mobiles.co.uk, the mobile retailer dated the first N8 for UK market for the third week of October. You can pre-order the phone in two colors: graphite and silver, but there is no exact information when the users can have it in their hands.
At Nokia World 2010 Nokia N8 was introduced officially and its release date was announced sometime on October, and now I think the retailer site just wants to make some noise around its name. |

Nokia E7 price in the UK is higher than expected(1) Two days ago the UK major reseller announced Nokia E7’s price, though it will be available only on January 10th. We know that this phone isn’t going be a cheap one, and you have to pay £585 (inc. VAT) buying through Expansys, which is nearly £250 more than the cheapest Nokia N8 price – £330.
At Nokia World 2010 the company called this model “mobile office” because of its great features. The Nokia E7 is one of the most awaited smartphones of 2010, and it’s equipped with several amazing features such as 12 Mp camera, 4 inches touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, its memory can be expanded up to 32GB and it is covered with anodised aluminium. That’s true, this model is more attractive with its features than Nokia N8, but the price wouldn’t be so high.
Some rumors say that Nokia E7 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, but Expansys announced it will be set to deliver in January 2011. Nokia has no control on reseller pricing, but the smartphone will be available via other resellers – including Nokia Online, and we hope the device will be cheaper. I wonder how much you are willing to pay for the Nokia E7, whether the offered price is high for you or not. |

Nokia C7 goes one step forward(0) Several days ago I have told you about Nokia C6-01, which is the deserving successor of Nokia 5230. Now I wonder whether Nokia C7 can be a good replacement for Nokia X6. From the video we already got sure the Nokia C6-01 gonna be one of the most popular smartphones of 2010, and like this one Nokia C7 features a capacitive 3.5 inches touchscreen which also adds AMOLED color technology. Though Nokia has made a great deal about X6 design, but in comparison with Nokia C7, we see a real difference and the last one looks a lot more modern. The Nokia C7 is heavier than X6, as the last one is made of plastic and the second smartphone is made of stainless steel. The phones’ specs are very different, for example it C6-01 comes with a 32GB memory, while C7 has got 8Gb but it can be expended up to 32GB via MicroSD slot. Nokia C7 captures with an 8Mp camera, and its precious model captures with a 5Mp camera. Both the phones support high-end specs, like GPS and OviMaps, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, though Nokia C7 offer faster connectivity due to its Bluetooth 3.0. I think Nokia C7 is a step forward of the X6, don’t you think the same way? |
