Nokia Ovi Files To Be Discontinued

by L.K. - on Sep 3rd 2010 - No Comments

The popular OVi Store service from Nokia has been offering not only some amazing services and features but next to them some of them turn out to be somewhat non-useful. One of those services is announced by the company to be Ovi Files service.

The last was helping out to get access to files on your PC or Mac. And now the company decided to stop providing this not-that-attractive option for its users. The service will end up by September 30, but this still leaves plenty of time to get used of leaving it.

The company gives you a chance to uninstall OVi Files Connector all by yourself. The good news is that even after this procedure you will not lose any data or file saved earlier. Anyways there are still no news about any kind of substitute service.

Nokia N8 Coming September 23?

by L.K. - on Sep 2nd 2010 - No Comments

Nokia World is coming soon- starting from September 14 and the guess of what exact devices are going to be presented during the event is getting more and more acurate each day. This time we are not going to have a inclusion to the list but rather stick up with an exclusion. According to the Google ad (which apparantly appeared and disappeared not long after) we find out that the Nokia N8 is not going to be available during the event.

Instead of that the device will appear on September 23. Here comes the question of why is it so and why does the company want to prolong the appearance of the gadget? Well, maybe they think that there’s no need to make that much of device announcements at once?

Who knows?

Blue Tech Theme for Nokia S60v5 Gadgets

by L.K. - on Sep 1st 2010 - No Comments

This theme design may appeal the fans of high-tech and all things concerning the hi-tech. This newest option was created by the enthusiast named Bea and the name of the theme is Blue Tech. Plus it seems to me that you really need to like the blue color to agree for the installation of this new theme.

Blue Tech is suitable for phones based on Nokia S60v5 platform with touch screen and screen resolution of 360 × 640 pixels. By the way, some sports companies could take the idea of design. For some reason it seems that if you change the picture of the topic to the ball, the design will not be any worse, and actually it will even look very sporting.

In particular, this theme can be safely installed by the owners of Nokia 5530, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5233, Nokia C6, Nokia X6, Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, as well as the Nokia 5800.

Nokia has announced about the completion of the acquisition of private U.S. company Motally. The first rumors about the acquisition appeared around the web by the end of the July while everything was officially announced on 20 August of this year.

Recall that the company is developing Motally mobile analytical services for logging and reporting. The Nokia company expects that this acquisition will help the developers and publishers of mobile applications to optimize their mobile applications through a better understanding of how users use their applications.

The new service is expected to get adopted for a list of platforms including Qt, Symbian, Meego and Java. In addition, Nokia will continue to serve the existing customers of Motally, leaving the company at least some part of the time to get adopted to the new service.
