Those who are planning to get a device without having an exclusive design and specs in mind will be satisfied with Rogers offer. The mobile carrier is planning to promote an entry-level device from Nokia- Nokia 7020.

The device runs on rather rough  S40 version of operating system, but despite that has a  2.2 inch screen, which is not that bad. The camera on the device is not that great with its only 2megapixel feature.

As for the memory, the device supports microSD cards up to 16GB, which means that at least here you can find the Nokia signature.

Nokia 7020 comes up in 4 different contract options. When having a 3 year plan you can get the device for  $9.99, while for 2 years contract you’ll have to pay $59.99. Then the one year option will cost you $99.99. And at last if you don’t really plan to sign up for any kind of contract, you can purchase the device for $149.99.

Finnish giant which was long the undisputed leader in sales of mobile technology in Western Europe, recently began gradually losing its former supremacy. A well-known analyst firm IDC believes that it’s entirely possible that this year there will be a leader change in the European continent – instead of Nokia’s first spot, the South Korean company Samsung will take the lead.

In support of their assumption IDC cites the following facts:

• In the first quarter of this year, the overall supply of mobile technology Nokia have fallen by 9% compared to the same period last year;
• Compared with last year the share of Nokia in the mobile market has decreased from 39% share of 33%;
• The presence of Nokia in the smartphone market, compared with the year 2009 decreased by 16% – from 57% to 41%;
• Deliveries of mobile phones (smartphones without) Nokia compared to the year 2009 decreased by 18%, the presence in this market declined from 35% to 30%;
• Samsung currently supplies 40% of all mobile phones in Europe
• In the first quarter of this year, the share of Nokia in the mobile market in Europe amounted to 32,8%, while Samsung had 29.3%.

Both companies have a similar story. Nokia has begun with the production of paper, then moved to the cable, and after entered the market of mobile equipment. Samsung started as a distributor of vegetables, fish and noodles, then switched to the production of wool, and finally, in the 60′s with the support of the Government of South Korea took up electronics.

Most of us are familiar with the Symbian-Guru which is presenting lots of news and interesting facts about the latest updates and improvements about the Symbian OS- the main operating system for Nokia.

And now get this- the guy who used to update the blog now decided to quit it. He’s no longer going to make any posts about the Nokian devices! What the hell is going on? He even got a smartphone which is based on Android OS, more specifically Nexus One! Wow!

In the xml-file on the official Nokia site there is information which confirms the existence of a new smartphone with the code-name Nokia C7-00. This is rumored to be the second device based on Symbian^3 OS.

The design of the gadget is similar to the latest models of the company with rather effective and visible round edges. It is equipped with an ARM brand processor, touchscreen 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 360×640 pixels-typical for Symbian devices, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as support for UMTS / HSDPA networks. In addition to this the device also supplies an 8 megapixel camera for those who have plans to use this exact feature of the device.

The price of the  smartphone, of course, is still unknown. But it is doubtful whether it will be high. The release of Nokia C7-00 is expected to take place in fall.

Nokia and Clarion announced about their future cooperation over a project of Terminal Mode. This feature has a goal of making the mobile device and car infotainment system to collaborate in a best possible way. This is going to be the third cooperation with such a giant company for Nokia. The earlier deals include Alpine and Harman.

All of this is going back to the project CE4A when Nokia was cooperating with German Automakers. This means that the actual idea to make the new application into a reality is the toughest goal for Nokia now. The bad thing about this all that there’s no actual product to have a look out. Hopefully the Clarion cooperation will be more fruitful.
