A couple of months ago I introduced a video demonstrating the Nokia 801. Back then I commended it too much, but I am already on the way to changing my mind. Though the phone hasn’t been officially introduced, some photos leaked and they threw me into confusion. Well, let’s see.

The phone was rumored to run Symbian Bell, but as the guys over at MyNokiaBlog think, it will run Anna. At the moment we can’t say anything definite about the operating system. One of the eye-catching features is the lack of frontal buttons we used to see on Symbian devices. But I thought long and came to the conclusion the long black part at the bottom of the phone is a button including all three ones — Call, Menu and End Call. The Nokia 801 is also said to be equipped with an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash.
Anyway, the information comes from a Chinese forum, and we have all reasons to think it will be launched only in that market. This is quite expected as Nokia has other plans for the US and European markets.
