Nokia’s website again included a new device in its list and then soon removed from there. The info was about a new device called Nokia 710.  The table showed a whole bunch of technical specs of the Nokia 710.

The device is expected to work based on 2008 Maemo OS, which is the most ridiculous info ever. The thing is that Nokia’s decided not to release Symbian handsets, which is a quite interesting OS coming  with latest features required from latest generation operating systems. And all of this was done to move to Microsoft‘s Windows Phone OS. So releasing a Maemo device sounds kind of strange. The second strange spec of the handset is its 820 mAh battery, which leaves a hope that it’s just the misprinted version of 1820 mAh battery, otherwise the smartphone will require charging all the time.

The rest of the specs of the novelty are pretty reasonable.  The handset comes with a 3.7 inch display with a resolution of 800 × 480, a  1.4 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of storage capabilities. These specs require a powerful operating system, which cannot be 2008 Maemo, as its capabilities are rather poor. Instead it must be a Symbian handset, most likely with its Belle version.

While looking for the handset in different spots, pocketnow guys found that the device is also leaked in Ocassional Game, where the device comes with the same name, but here it’s a WP device.
