On Monday, March 8 the judge of the lawsuit of Apple vs Nokia, has made a decision to freeze the case for an indefinite time.

The fact that a number of other lawsuits, which are, in some extent, connected to the case of Apple vs Nokia, are examined at the moment has served as a reason for the judge to make this decision. According to the court, for the correct procedure they should first deal with these cases, and then proceed to the consideration of complaints of the Finnish company Nokia or Apple.
It should be taken into consideration that cases like this can be examined for years. This is why it may take a very long time to deal with the case of Apple vs Nokia. In this particular case, the judge’s decision plays in favor of Apple, as the current trial was initiated by Nokia. However, a couple of weeks ago Cupertino filed a lawsuit against other mobile manufacturer, HTC. If the court also decides to freeze the procedure, it will be in favor of HTC and Google, which can still launch new smartphones based on Google Android without much regard for the opinions of Apple.
