We had the last Anna update around 6 months ago, with a promise to get Belle update shortly. Afterwards, the release of the newest version of Symbian OS was delayed until February.
One of the latest tweets of the Finnish manufacturer was answering Belle update questions with the following statement: “Nokia Belle will be on the way from next week. You can see more details of the release here: nokia.ly/uLzeLX.” Later the tweet was followed by a February release statement: “Hi, I’m correcting the sw update info tweeted to you yesterday. Update comes available starting from Feb. Sorry about wrong info!”
In all probability the OTA update will take around 3-4 weeks to get to all the units as in case of Anna update. So you will have officially Belle updated devices only before the end of February. Still, I think most customers have already got Belle experience with the help of unofficial builds.
The list of devices to receive Belle update includes the following — The Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, Nokia 500 and Nokia Oro. At the moment the latest units of the Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01 are already coming pre-installed with Belle.
