The S40 platform is really going to leave the base models of phones. New Nokia C5 is an excellent proof of this. This model has all chances to reorient a mass audience on the OS Symbian.
Besides, Nokia C5 is the first device of fresh C-series, which many remember from July of the last year, when Nokia Company registered Xseries and Cseries. With Nokia X3 and X6 models it became clear that the Xseries devices have strong musicality. And now it came the turn of C-series classic phones.
Shortly about the specifications: the display is not touchscreen, with 2,2’’ QVGA size, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED-backlit, GPS and a microSD slot for memory expansion up to 50MB.
The device can also operate in 3G networks, there is a FM-radio and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. C5 model is actually a 3G-version of Nokia 6303, but with an updated operating system. It is like that Nokia C5 will be presented at the congress in Barcelona very soon.
By the way, we learned that C-series includes one more device. The smartphone has a full QWERTY-keyboard and a compact package. Among other things it has a 5 megapixel camera with LED-backlit.
