There are a lot of phone that are changed for many times before their final launch. The Nokia C7 is one of them as the phone was known as Tiger, but yesterday I told you the phone appeared in T-Mobile’s inventory with the name of Astound. Now it is said this Symbian^3 smartphone would be launched on April 6th with price tag at $79.99 after a mail in rebate.

After this deal Nokia is planning to launch other 4 Symbian-powered handsets during this year. We don’t know what their names are and for which market they are being designed for. According to the same sources these 4 devices will be offered via T-Mobile. This means T-Mobile becomes the main partner of company introducing Nokia smartphones in the US. So if the deal succeeds, both companies will be in beneficial positions.

Though the phone’s price is cheaper than we have expected, but this doesn’t mean the Nokia C7 sports weak features. It is a Symbian^3 smartphone that runs 680MHz processor, is equipped with a 3.5-inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen with an nHD resolution, but its main advantage is the 8MP camera with dual-LED flash and 8GB internal memory storage to save your data.

Its camera is worth to put a closer look at it, as you can use it for getting macro shots. But besides the pluses, the Astound has got several issues, for example, the units produced in December has real display issues, that must be replaced with new ones. So we you’ll order it from T-Mobile be sure the phones work normal.

Anyway, the Nokia C7 (aka Astound) via T-Mobile is on the way, and you only have to prepare $80 to buy it.
