Two attractive apps are already available for the Nokia Lumia 900 but in their beta form. The apps are designed to make AT&T’s first LTE device aware of the surroundings.

The first app is called Nokia City Lens. It gives a chance to learn more about your surrounding objects. Nokia City Lens uses the device’s 8 megapixel camera and gets expanded info about any object or point of interest. The app is presented by Augmented reality.

Nokia Transports is the second not less appealing application. It provides transportation database for a large list of cities. This app is useful for those who are looking for the most optimal means of getting from a specific location to another. It might not be useful for taxi directions, still it will be useful for people using public transportation. The app shows not only the best means of transportation, including buses, trams and metro, but also their schedules and estimated arrival times. It even includes a walking option, which is a big plus for those who are not willing to spend too much time in transportation.

At the moment Nokia Transports displays 400+ cities and comes in 50 different languages. But this is still the beta version, so we should expect to see more with the release of the final version.
