One of the most welcomed features of Android devices is Google Maps, which offers users free turn-by-turn navigation. The app is improved with each update. Nokia’s now offering something similar for its consumers — Nokia Drive. The service will be available for all Lumia owners.

Nokia announced the turn-by-turn navigation service Nokia Drive yesterday, at Nokia World 2011. It brings deep navigational experience much awaited by Windows Phone users. Luckily or not, the app is available only for Nokia’s Windows Phone smartphones. Of course, it keeps Nokia handsets competitive on the market. Nokia Drive offers you free voice guidance instructions to easily get to your destination. Like other similar apps, Nokia Drive includes satellite and night views, but it combines 3D maps (it’s limited to major cities and landmarks). Users can download maps by country or region, which means they can get directions offline.
Currently only two Nokia handsets run Windows Phone Mango, so the app is available only for them. Check out the demo video showing how Nokia Drive works on the Nokia Lumia 800.
