When Nokia’s second Windows Phone-powered device appeared, we previewed it and made some assumptions on its design. Now the Lumia 710 is available and it’s high time to “examine” its hardware.

At first sight the Nokia Lumia 710 is weaker than many other handsets, but a closer look at its specs list shows we are dealing with a little monster. That’s why this smartphone is one of the highest-rated handsets at T-Mobile.

The device comes with a 3.7-inch ClearBlack LCD display, which ensures perfect texting abilities. In comparison with the well-known S-LCD on the HTC Radar, the colors on the Lumia 710 seem a little bit vivid, but the ClearBlack technology gives an advantage to the phone when it is used in the sunlight. So the only screen lack is the black border around the screen. Honestly, I don’t know what it is for.

The front of the phone has three physical buttons, which look quite cheap when lit up at night time. But they help a user not to drop it when playing.

The Lumia 710 is equipped with a single-core 1.4GHz processor powered with a gyroscope, Corning Gorilla Glass and a compass. Note that this processor doesn’t yield any other dual-core processor available on the market.

As for other features, it is packed with a 5MP camera with a single-LED flash, but it lacks a front facing camera. Another shortcoming is the limited 8GB internal memory, which cannot be expanded.

I’ll stop here as we are preparing our Nokia Lumia 710 review, so you can get detailed information there. As for now, we suggest that you watch the Nokia Lumia 710 hardware review video provided by WMPowerUser.
