Like other major manufacturers, Nokia also decided to bring DLNA support for its handsets. It’s not surprising to have the Nokia Lumia 800 as the first target. It will not be done with the help of any update, instead the manufacturer will offer a special application in Windows Phone Marketplace. Well, this is not based upon an official announcement, but seems to be rather realistic.

DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) allows to have a great synchronization of all media files, so that they are compatible for simultaneous actions. The main feature DLNA is being used for is media file sharing between the phone and other medias, such as audio systems, TV and computer. The feature doesn’t come with most handsets, but it’s a pretty popular trend to add after the release of the devices.

The Nokia Lumia 800 has all chances to get the feature as the hardware components required to make the application work. The Nokia Care reps mentioned a few words about the functionality’s landing on the device, but we are not sure their words can serve as a reliable source or no.
