The release of the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango caused lots of interest towards this new version of Microsoft’s OS. It’s not surprising some of the features the OS lacked were not that much highlighted. This includes the absence of the front-facing camera, large displays and support for LTE. This is the main reason why Nokia is planning to release the WP Tango, which will solve all the above-mentioned problems.

The beta version of the WP Tango is ready and seems like Nokia is trying to test the novelty with Verizon Wireless and AT&T networks. This means Nokia has plans to test  its WP handsets to make sure the customers will not be disappointed with the devices after the launch.

CNET, which rapidly reports the details of the testing, mentions that a special 4G LTE version of the Nokia Lumia 800 is being used during the testing. As for now we know the upcoming Nokia Lumia 900 looks a lot similar to the Lumia 800, thus I assume the novelty featuring LTE networks will be the Lumia 900 and not the Lumia 800.

The reps of both AT&T and Verizon refused to make any comments on the situation.
