Nokia announced it will offer the cyan variant of the Lumia 800 only in December, but as the UK was too hospitable towards this handset, the company launched it at the end of November. It is already available in other European countries and I have to say its sales surprise me.

The Nokia Lumia 800 left varying impressions on people — some praise it, while others can’t believe Nokia has launched a very reliable device. Anyway, we have already talked about all these attitudes in our Why Suddenly US Starts Loving Nokia? post, and at the moment there is no reason in going back to it. But we have a more interesting fact to discuss — Rob van Triet, who runs a Phone House in the Netherlands, and who is also an editor at Pocketinfo.nl, said via his Twitter account he sold 20 cyan Nokia Lumia 800 devices in less than 3 hours.

As the author notes it is the best sold smartphone he has ever seen, and even the iPhone 4S can’t be compared with it. This fact speaks out about one thing — all the conversations concerning Nokia’s being disappointed with low sales are fake.
