Nokia just pushed out an update to its popular Nokia Radio application on the Nokia Lumia 800 available for download from its website. The update is called Music v1.6. It is meant to increase the personalization and sharing features of the phone’s radio and also updates its Gigfinder app’s possibilities.

Nokia’s official blog announced this update for Mix Radio on the Nokia Lumia 800 now enables you to create your own radio stations. It’s done by selecting the names of two singers, and in a second you get the playlists with artists and genres similar to those you inserted into the phone, thus turning your device into your personal radio station. The server database with singers now has already 20.000 entries, and the number is continually increasing. The application allows creating up to five such stations. But if you are too lazy to start making your own radio yourself, the clever app will do it automatically by analyzing the metadata of your phone and producing playlists with tunes you are most likely to opt for.

Music v1.6 also updates Nokia Radio’s Gigfinder service, which allows seeing the gigs nearest to you, lets you look for information on and comparing of prices, plus sharing it all with your friends on social networks, email or SMS.
