The Nokia N8 was launched in October, 2010, but it is still one of the most popular and anticipated smartphones of the company. Probably the most criticized feature was the Symbian^3 platform, but the phone received the Anna update recently and it seems the conversations stopped.
You know what is amazing — there are several respectable features that must be discovered for larger masses. No, no, I am not talking about its 12MP camera. That’s another case. Let’s see.

The Nokia N8 boasts a five-band WCDMA radio. So you can use it everywhere in Europe and North America without worrying about networks.
This handset has a board FM Transmitter allowing you to broadcast your tunes through your car radio. With the help of this feature you don’t have to buy expensive car radios.
The N8 can help you to watch your phone’s video content on HDTV using HDMI cable. That’s not a secret, but not everyone knows you can use its 3.5mm headset jack and the Nokia three color A/V cable for this.
This feature is not so surprising but still it is very useful. The Nokia N8 lets users record calls due to a built-in voice recorder. As a result you’ll get a high-quality recording of both sides of the conversation.
And finally, the N8 can turn your TV into a giant touchscreen. This technology is called Plug and Touch and is still in a development stage. Anyway, the prototype of the gesture-based technology is being experimented in this handset, and it’s good.
It also supports playback of Matroska (.mkv) video files, you can also use it via Bluetooth mouse and keyboard or you can listen to music playing on your phone while talking. Truly, there are many features we haven’t seen in the reviews but these are specs we can’t find in any handset.
So now you understand why I get angry when people start to discredit Nokia and all its steps. That’s not fair, and the N8 is the best proof that Nokia is a great manufacturer.
