None of the U.S. carriers agreed to release the Nokia N9 in the U.S. Or maybe it’s Nokia that doesn’t plan to bring the device to the U.S. Anyway, the retailers are still planning to offer of the Nokia N9.

Amazon decided to sell the device both in its 16GB and 64GB options respectively for $500 and $650. The device will be unlocked (which is reasonable) with an expected availability date of September 23. Just like in case of the UK, the device will be available in three colors: black, cyan and magenta.

The Nokia N9 works with HSDPA networks, which means that the phone is capable of working with GSM networks. This is very good, since both users of Verizon and AT&T will be able to get the smartphone tuned!

The Nokia N9 is the first and the last commercial device from Nokia coming with MeeGo OS. The device doesn’t have any front buttons, which is an innovation for Nokia. The specs of the handset include a 3.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of  854 × 480 and protected with Gorilla Glass, an 8MP Carl Zeiss camera with 720p video recording capabilities, NFC and a 1GHz OMAP processor.
