Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango-powered device didn’t avoid issues — a couple of weeks after its launch users began complaining of battery problems. Nokia studied the situation and admitted its guilt saying an appropriate update would soon be available. An earlier update pushed out for the Nokia Lumia 800 didn’t solve the problem completely, so Nokia had to announce the second update. The  launch date was set on January 18 and as usual Nokia kept its promise. Now the update is available for download.

Nokia never refused the existence of the battery issue, and admitted it for many times. The company said it was working on an update and was testing Lumia 800 handsets in its labs. The update is now being rolled out region by region, so if you still haven’t got it, do not get upset, because once it is available in your country you will get a notification asking to connect your device to the PC to complete the installation.

Unfortunately, we don’t know this update includes a Microsoft update bringing the software to the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5 or not. The latter was known to fix the disappearing virtual keyboard bug. In a few days time the changelog will be clear.
