Yesterday we talked about a video published in Nokia’s Developers official YouTube Channel, which included an unannounced WP device. Today the video is no longer accessible. It’s marked as private, while the promo video has been edited and now it doesn’t contain the novelty. The device, which was rumored to be the Nokia Ace, is now replaced with a stable render of the Nokia Lumia 800, which doesn’t arouse any interest.

This action leads to various questions. There are basically two possible explanations. According to the first one, Nokia used a graphically made non-realistic device, so that the users of current and upcoming WP Mango devices don’t feel ignored. Well, this sounds pretty versatile. If this was the aim, Nokia could just have the text applicable to all WP Mango handsets. In this case the video edit can be explained by the fact the manufacturer decided to avoid rumors whether the device is an actual one or not. Not a smart solution, right?

The second explanation is reasoned by the fact it’s really a novelty, but the manufacturer has decided to keep silent until the official announcement. In this regard, I guess this video was just a way to cause more interest towards the novelty. If this is the case, then Nokia should launch the device sometime soon, until the interest is really at its top.
