During the meeting with the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev the Head of Nokia Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo announced that the Finnish company is ready to participate in the modernization of Russia. According to the press service of Russian leader, Dmitry Medvedev approved the Nokia’s interest to draft innovative cities in Skolkovo, which will become an important research center of Russia.
According to Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo the company can become a formal co-sponsor of this project, as well as create a Skolkovo center to coordinate research projects in the field of software development.

“We look forward to see Nokia in the number of formal co-sponsors, and administration, it is because Nokia is really a very large company with very good development, well proven in the Russian market, well known to virtually every Russian”, – said Dmitry Medvedev.
The Russian president added that Nokia is a major taxpayer for the budget of Russia. Each year, the Finnish company completes its approximately by $ 400 million. Dmitry Medvedev also did not fail to note that his first mobile phone was of Nokiap roduction .
