Nokia Company, the world’s largest cell phone manufacturer, reported that the staff at the factory in Salo (Finland) will be reduced to 7,7 times.
The factory will have a maximum of 285 employees engaged in the manufacturing and support. Currently there are about 2,2 thousand people.
Nokia will “as far as possible,” consider alternative positions for the staff in the company, the report said. The employees will be consulted, including a discussion of voluntary departure.
In addition, the company will not make the remaining staff leave the factory until the end of June this year.
