Great news from Finland! Finally Nokia’s plans for the Microsoft OS are revealed. We learned the manufacturer will introduce WP Tango on January 13, at CES 2012 event. Other than that, two Mango-based devices will be launched as well — the Nokia Lumia 900 and the Nokia Lumia 719, which will be updated to Tango sometime during Q1. If we have at least some notion of the Nokia Lumia 900, we can’t say the same for the Nokia Lumia 719, which is an absolutely new device for us.

As for the Windows Phone 8, it will be launched at mid-June Nokia Connection 2012 event (initially it was expected to be launched before the end of 2011). Rumors claim it will serve as a basis for the first Nokia tablet renamed as Apollo. The main innovations include support for a dual-core processor, NFC and high resolution displays.

Nokia Connection 2012 will also give us a chance to get acquainted with the successor of the Nokia N8.

The statement from the insider is the following:

“Nokia’s devices will come at Nokia Connection 2012 and there are multiple ‘high end’ devices expected, including a new camera flagship. Windows 8 will also be announced by that time and Nokia’s first tablet will launch at NokCon. Features expected in Apollo is support for NFC, dual core processors, larger displays and larger bodies. Looks good too.”
