2012 will be a great year for Nokia, at least this is what Morgan Stanley research firm predicted. If you consider this statement disputable, have a look at last year Nokia sales (the data is provided by the same firm). In the last 6 months of 2011 Nokia made shipments of over 1 million devices — this was something most analysts did not expect at all.

Interestingly, only the sales of the first Nokia WP handset, the Nokia Lumia 800 are mentioned, while there’s no word about the Lumia 710. Both of them have been sold only in selected countries, while in 2012 they will be sold on almost every continent. In addition, we will greet another worthy member of the the global Lumia family — the Nokia Lumia 900.
One of the toughest markets is the UK market and Nokia had to take additional measures to attract UK consumers. So it offered not only great deals, but also free Xbox 360 with the first units of the Nokia Lumia 800.
To effectively promote its WP handsets Nokia is also making fast updates, take the the Nokia Lumia 800 for which the manufacturer offered an update to improve charging time, optimize the power consumption and to ensure an overall better performance.
