Today we have another carrier, Wind, which will release the phone. Wind will sell the...

Lumia-900-update-

The data connection issue of the Nokia Lumia 900 remains a mystery as the carriers and the manufacturer were too quick in pushing out the update. They used to transfer $100 to the credits of those affected Nokia Lumia 900 buyers. That update was pushed out a few days earlier the announced date. It caused us to think Canadian Rogers would...

There were times when people used to buy phones with money. Now it looks like people are buying money with their phones, especially if that phone is the Lumia 900. A few days ago users were angry about the issue the device brought. First, the phone had a bad memory and data connection problems, then, as if this was not enough, the short...

Being the only carrier of the Lumia 900, AT&T has been in the lead of mobile competition. The same story will most likely repeat in Canada. After the device was launched in the US, Rogers started offering the phone in Canada. At this moment Rogers sells the Lumia 900 online only. The price for the handset is quite affordable, $99.99...

Now Nokia is making the second step; it is entering...

The Nokia Lumia 900 is the first Lumia handset announced to be designed precisely for the North America. The main targets points of the smartphone were the US and Canada. We were expecting to have it firstly launched in the US (on March 18 by AT&T) and only then move to Canada. But the US release delay makes Canada the first country...

The international version of the Nokia Lumia 900 was announced at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. In his speech Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop said Canada would be one of the countries, where this handset would be released first. He even mentioned April as an initial launch time, but until today we have no confirmation to it. Now a leaked document shows...

Nokia 808 PureView Not to Be Available in North America

The description of the Nokia 808 PureView  mentions it as a global phone, but the footnote mentions that the availability will leave North America out. This might be a great disappointment for Nokia fans in the US and Canada. Still we should remember that Nokia’s strategy in this region is the promotion of Windows Phones instead...

Rogers Set Nokia Lumia 900 Pricing

by Argam - on Mar 5th 2012 - Comments Off

A few days ago the Nokia Lumia 900 became a global handset, but the manufacturer didn’t mention any launch date and pricing. This caused many speculations and rumors, but today we won’t talk about them, as Canadian Rogers has listed the phone with a certain price tag. The carrier requires not that much taking into account the phone’s specs list — only $499.99.

Rogers is the first carrier giving a hint at how much the phone will cost. I say this as the Lumia 900 is marked as discountable, but I personally don’t believe its unlocked version will cost cheaper.

The Nokia Lumia 900, which is the first Windows Phone handset supporting LTE, will be launched in the US sometime in mid-March. The phone is said to be available at $99.99 on contract. Unfortunately, there is no word regarding the SIM-free version of the device, but talking honestly, there is no need to be concerned about it as Nokia has done its best to launch this handset in the States via a carrier to make it available for larger masses. Well, the pricing set by Rogers is a good way to draw approximate conclusions as to how much it will cost.

Nokia Lumia 800 Coming to Telus on March 2

by Argam - on Feb 29th 2012 - No Comments

The Nokia Lumia 710 has been available in Canada for almost a month  and is offered by Rogers. Nevertheless, we’ve been waiting for the release of the more popular Lumia 800 for a super long period. And finally we have it launched by Telus.

For at least some period the handset will be exclusive for the carrier. It will be launched on March 2, though the price of the unit is not announced. It’s cool to know Canada will be the first location where the handset will be available in all its four colors (white, black, cyan and magenta).

Global and Mall states the model “is visually rich, easy to use and refreshingly different from Apple and Google’s offerings.”

The Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 720p video recording capabilities.

Sadly, this device has been available since November of last year and it got already launched in numerous European countries and even in South Africa.
