Nokia E7 Running Symbian Belle: Instrucions by Video

by Argam - on Dec 19th 2011 - No Comments

As expected all news firstly go to the most popular high-end smartphones, like the Nokia E7 and the N8. While we are all waiting for the 2012 to get Symbian Belle update, some enthusiasts have already ported it to the Nokia E7.

The Nokia E7 was included in the list of smartphones to get Bell update early next year. While many other-platform-devoted users might not be aware of what this upgrade will change in the E7 and other Symbian^3 smartphones, Symbian users already know what improvements will come with it and which the main differences between Anna and Belle are.

The Nokia E7 is a business style smartphone with many corresponding apps. It is in a rough competition with other similar handsets. So Symbian Belle update can give it an additional force to rank higher than the main competitors. Those who know the Symbian Belle-powered handsets, the Nokia 603, 700 and 701, must know this version of Symbian OS comes with many enhancements and is a real competitor to other popular platforms.

Nokia E7 Goes to New Zealand

by Ani - on Apr 18th 2011 - No Comments

The Nokia E7 has already traveled around the world. Now the “all-in-one business smartphone” goes to New Zealand!

Steve Lewis, Nokia New Zealand’s head of sales, said that “The smartphone is now the primary business device for many New Zealanders, but business users — like all consumers — don’t just want functionality.”

The Nokia E7 is distributed in New Zealand via Vodafone exclusively, and its price is 1,299 NZD (about $1,025) at the moment. However, you have a chance to get a discount or some tempting promotional offers with a Vodafone promotional code.

Let me remind you that several days ago the Nokia E7 was released in the UK for £499 ($818) for an unlocked version. Yeah, rather expensive, especially if we compare it with previous Nokia phones. But the UK operators have very attractive offers and data plans for their customers (and besides, voucherseeker codes will give you extra discounts). Vodafone, for example, offers you the phone for free if you sign a two-year contract and pay £35 ($57) per month. Plus monthly you’ll get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.

If this offer isn’t good enough for you, consider T-Mobile’s or Orange’s offers: T-Mobile will give you the device for £35.74 ($58) per month, plus 1200 minutes, 500 texts and “unlimited” mobile Internet. Orange offers you the phone for free with a two-year contract, monthly cost of £23 (about $37) and 400 minutes and unlimited texts. And with an Orange promotional code you’ll be able to save even more.

The Nokia E7 is a great business smartphone with amazing specs. It’s worth a shot, so don’t miss your chance.

Nokia N8 and E7 will be realeased later this month

by Sona - on Sep 6th 2010 - No Comments

It’s already known that Nokia’s new smartphone will be launched on September 30, but those who have ordered Nokia N8 directly from Nokia could buy it starting September 28.

Nokia N8 will be exclusive at Nokia Online for a week before it goes on general sale. In Finland you’ll have to pay 499€ to get this phone.

Nokia N8 is the first smartphone to run Symbian 3. The handset is equipped with a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor – features, which make Nokia N8 more competitive than the iPhone and most Android devices.

In addition, Nokia N8 offers the opportunity to make HD videos and edit them with an intuitive built-in editing suite.  Doubling as a portable entertainment center, people can enjoy HD-quality video with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound by plugging into their home theatre system.

After the digital camera social networking is the second remarkable feature of  Nokia N8. Users can view live feeds from Facebook and Twitter in a single app directly on the home screen. The Nokia N8 comes with free global Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation, guiding people to places and points of interest in more than 70 countries worldwide.

The cell phone giant has been slow to introduce high-end smartphones that appeal to users, particularly those in the U.S. market. This is the general reason why people choose iPhone and Android devices in the U.S. and, that’s why I think, the new Symbian smartphone will be welcomed  by American users.

Nokia N8 is Nokia’s first phone to be equipped with Qt, a software development environment that simplifies the development and makes it possible to build applications once and deploy across Symbian and other software platforms.

As Reuters  reported, Nokia will release another smartphone E7 at Nokia World in London on Sept. 14. This device comes with a large touch screen and full keyboard.

Nokia E7 also runs Symbian 3 and is equipped with a  4 inch screen with 640×360 pixels resolution. The device has an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash on its backside. The price of Nokia E7 is still unknown.

According to Nokia’s official blog last year it was the Nokia N900, X6, N97mini and Nokia Booklet on the hardware side and Nokia Money, the Ovi SDK and navigation API on the software side, that bring success to Nokia. I think these two smartphones will bring more success to the manufacturer.

Expect more news from Nokia, as the Nokia Developer Summit 2010 will be held at the same time as Nokia World in London.
