Beginning designers Daniel Kwast, Whiskey Mueller and Karl Dahr from Danish Designskolen Kolding design school, have developed Nokia Frame – an interesting and promising concept. The company is constantly and actively seeking new ideas for its future development, because this and a number of other concepts were launched by Nokia.

The designers say that Nokia Frame demonstrates incredible features and a fantastic future, which can provide the updated Symbian OS operating system. The concept relies fully on the augmentation of reality with which the performance of traditional “phone” functions and exchange data with other phones or mobile devices is incredibly simple with the use of drag-n-drop technology.
In particular, it is assumed that in order to transfer the file to another mobile phone, one needs to only drag the virtual image file on a real phone, visible through the transparent glass of Nokia Frame. Other actions, performed with the help of this phone, are made on the same, intuitively understandable level.

Manufacturers of cellular phones like to embed gadgets into their most unusual devices – from electric shavers and lighters to portable projectors. A new step in this direction was made by the engineers of the Finnish company Nokia, equipping the device with radar.
The device, named “mobile radar”, performs the same function as the common traffic police radar – it measures the distance, direction and speed of a moving object. During the presentation, the mobile phone has successfully identified the direction and speed of walking of an ‘experimental object “- one of the staff members of Nokia Research Center.

One of the possible applications of the unusual feature can become the remote control of the phone, – said Nokia Conversations. This radar differentiates even the hand movements and allows, for example, to increase or decrease the volume of a built-in player with mere gestures.
It should be noted that the control of the surrounding space is made without the participation of the camera, by only electromagnetic waves. Therefore, mobile radar “can be used without taking the phone out of the pocket or backpack. It recognizes even objects that are behind a wooden door.
Radar is just one of more than 40 inventions, over which works the company’s research center at present time. All of them are aimed at improving and expanding the functions of mobile communication, but not all will be transformed into real serial devices, said The Independent. In particular, the company says nothing about the expected deadline, when its phones can have their own radars.

Many mobile users would like to see in the photographs Nokia 5900 XpressMusic, which has more advanced technical specifications compared to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. However, Nokia has decided to make a simplified model, which was named Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, as well as indicated by the Kenzo code name.

Unlike Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic smartphone does not support third-generation networks, its display is smaller in size, but there are no on-board Wi-Fi modules and GPS. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has a 2.9-inch touch screen display, 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED-flash, 150 MB of internal memory, Bluetooth and microSD slot for memory cards format. Case dimensions are 104x49x13 mm.
Nokia 5530 XpressMusic cost will not exceed $ 200.

This model is made in the clamshell form factor, but it looks very much like Nokia 7205 Intrigue. Nokia 7208 is equipped with an external OLED-display, which is hidden under the surface and is invisible in the inactive state. Below the display are the music player control keys, which are also visible without illumination.
It is known that Nokia 7208 supports dual-band CDMA standard and carries on-board Bluetooth 2.0 EDR module. Manufacturer will position this model as a stylish phone that focuses on playing music.

Since the announcement of the Nokia Morph concept mobile phone has passed almost two years, it turns out, that the Finnish manufacturer has not forgotten about it and continues to develop it. This is evidenced by a patent, found in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The patent is known as “User interface, device and method for a physically flexible device”. It describes a flexible mobile device, its user interface, as well as methods of management. For example, it is enough to bend the device in the ring and its display will show the address of the nearest bars, but if you give the device the shape of a plate, it will show the nearest restaurants. The device will be able to respond to the folds and creases to recognize the speed and angle, which opens up new possibilities in the management of mobile devices.
Even taking into account the fact that the flexible touch screens already exist, do not hope that Nokia Morph concept will be implemented in the near future.

It is denoted by the Nokia 6316 slide subscript and has now passed the certification of Bluetooth SIG organization.
6316 slide mobile phone, as indicated by the subscript Nokia 6316s, 6316s-1 and RM-595, is executed in a slider form factor with a typical for the Finnish manufacturer’s design. This unit supports standard networks CDMA2000 1x/EV-DO, but, judging by the logo on the case, is intended for the Chinese China Telecom cellular operator.
Bluetooth SIG Organization reveals virtually no technical specifications of the Nokia 6316 slide, indicating only that it is equipped with a module BT v2.1 DER with support for standard protocols. However, with great probability, one could argue that this model belongs to the budget class, and therefore has simple parameters.
Nokia 6316 slide will be sold not only in China but also in Africa and South America.

Another forgery is called Nokia N93.
This clone does not even try to imitate the original model, but hopes that potential buyers will be attracted with the help of its design. It is worth noting the creativity of the producer who used the Nokia logo in the caption of the Android operating system. The Chinese Nokia N93 is made in a mono block form factor, which has simple technical characteristics, and the user interface has the elements of the iPhone interface.
