As a result of leakage of information we were informed, that Nokia is going to announce a mobile phone Nokia 2220 slide in the near future. This unit has the entry-level technical characteristics, but also attracts the attention with its pleasant appearance.

Nokia 2220 slide mobile phone is made in the slider form factor and is designed to work in networks of the standard GSM 900/1800 MHz (EDGE support is absent). The device is based on the S40 platform and is equipped with TFT-display with a resolution of 128×160 pixels, which reflects 65 thousand colors, 0.3-megapixel camera, FM-receiver, which is able to record radio broadcasts, as well as 10 MB of internal memory. Case dimensions of the phone are 97x47x16 mm.
It is expected that Nokia 2220 slide will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be available in different colors and will cost $ 125.

Nokia announces the launch of five new budget models such as Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616, Nokia 1800, Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690. Each of the new products is an optimal combination of functionality and price, and the device is designed for users who appreciate the phone in its simplicity and ease of use.


Other items of Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616 and Nokia 1800, along with the other functions are supported by FM-radio and the function of control cost Prepaid Tracker. In addition, the device is equipped with a flashlight which is resistant to scratches and dust-coated keyboard. The durable time of one charged battery is enough for up to 22 days in standby mode, which is crucial for users in the areas with intermittent power supply.
Models of Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690 are supported by the e-mail service of Ovi Mail, allowing an access to an e-mail access which is possible directly from the device. Accounts for Ovi Mail can be created directly via the phone, allowing users to send and receive messages without using a PC.

Among the other features of the devices the VGA-camera, a phone book with the ability to store up to 1 000 contacts, supports for GPRS and MMS, and FM-radio should be noted, as well as supports for Bluetooth.
