The S40 platform is really going to leave the base models of phones. New Nokia C5 is an excellent proof of this. This model has all chances to reorient a mass audience on the OS Symbian.
Besides, Nokia C5 is the first device of fresh C-series, which many remember from July of the last year, when Nokia Company registered Xseries and Cseries. With Nokia X3 and X6 models it became clear that the Xseries devices have strong musicality. And now it came the turn of C-series classic phones.

Shortly about the specifications: the display is not touchscreen, with 2,2’’ QVGA size, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED-backlit, GPS and a microSD slot for memory expansion up to 50MB.
The device can also operate in 3G networks, there is a FM-radio and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. C5 model is actually a 3G-version of Nokia 6303, but with an updated operating system. It is like that Nokia C5 will be presented at the congress in Barcelona very soon.

The First Information about Nokia C5 Smartphone

The Internet already has information on the Nokia C5 smartphone, which has not yet been officially released.
Soon the Finnish manufacturer will announce the release of a new line of mobile devices – a series of C. Apparently, it will include business-class device, which is denoted by the word Classic (remember that the recent XpressMusic musical line has been transformed into X-series, including X6 and X3 models). Well C5 smartphone is the first representative of the C-series.

According to available data, the novelty operating under OS Symbian (S60 Third Edition Feature Pack 2 platform), is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, 50 MB of internal memory, microSD slot for flash drives, GPS-receiver technology to support A-GPS, 3,5-millimeter audio jacks and FM-tuner.
The device is designed for GSM / GPRS / EDGE and UMTS / HSDPA networks.
It is reported that the smartphone will be announced at the P5 exhibition Mobile World Congress 2010, but it became known earlier that Nokia does not intend to show new products at this event.
