As expected, Nokia has officially introduced a new smartphone Nokia C5. According to the company, the new product is suitable for communication in social networks and information exchange. This compact device will provide easy access to a range of Nokia mobile services, including free navigation.

Nokia C5 is the first model in the new “C” series. A key feature of this new line in the portfolio of Nokia is the special attention to the functions of social intercourse. Nokia C5 provides fast connection with all important to the user people with direct access to your favorite contacts from the device screen. The S40 platform is really going to leave the base models of phones. New Nokia C5 is an excellent proof of this. This model has all chances to reorient a mass audience on the OS Symbian.

Soon the Finnish manufacturer will announce the release of a new line of mobile devices – a series of C. Apparently, it will include business-class device, which is denoted by the word Classic (remember that the recent XpressMusic musical line has been transformed into X-series, including X6 and X3 models). Well C5 smartphone is the first representative of the C-series.

According to available data, the novelty operating under OS Symbian (S60 Third Edition Feature Pack 2 platform), is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, 50 MB of internal memory, microSD slot for flash drives, GPS-receiver technology to support A-GPS, 3,5-millimeter audio jacks and FM-tuner.
The device is designed for GSM / GPRS / EDGE and UMTS / HSDPA networks.
It is reported that the smartphone will be announced at the P5 exhibition Mobile World Congress 2010, but it became known earlier that Nokia does not intend to show new products at this event.
