Rumor has it that the Finnish manufacturer Nokia is preparing to release another new product  Nokia X2-01, so very soon, the company’s portfolio will be complemented with another novelty.
The Nokia X2-01 is based on the Series40 platform and it resembles Nokia C3-00 very much.

Like most of Eseries smartphones the Nokia novelty is furnished with a QWERTY-keyboard, it also features a TFT display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, microSD card slot, a built-in 3 megapixel camera (no flash is noticed) for quality photography and built-in FM tuner. The  Nokia X2-01 supports Bluetooth and all standard frequencies GSM / GPRS / EDGE 850/900 / 1800/1900 MHz. It measures 119.4 x 59.8 x 14.3 mm and weighs 114g (including the battery).  The Nokia X2-01  will be available in several colors: gray, white, red and purple.

Apparently, the phone Nokia X2-2001 will be announced in the near future.

I think that a novelty is a good budget solution and will find its audience!

Scandal Around Nokia

by nokiamania - on Feb 9th 2010 - No Comments

The largest global manufacturer of mobile phones, Nokia, intends to “vigorously” defend itself in court on charges of fraud. The scandal erupted last Friday when a group of investors from the United States has accused the Finnish manufacturer of concealing information and as a consequence of falling profits. The petition was filed in federal court in New York on February 5.

It noted, that Nokia had not informed investors about the production delays in the release of certain models of mobile phones in 2008. According to the plaintiffs, this violation of the decline in prices of Nokia products, led to a drop in the cost of mobile phones and reduction of operating profit. Nokia, in its turn, called all the allegations ungrounded.
We would like to mention that the company’s net profit in 2009 decreased 4,5 times and was only 891 million euros compared to the 3.99 billion euros of a year earlier.
