Nokia X2 in Canada from Fido

by Argam - on Sep 20th 2011 - No Comments

One of not that popular Canadian retailer stores, Fido, is planning to enlarge its lineup of affordable devices. This time it’s going to bring a handset from Nokia — the Nokia X2, which is originally known as the Nokia X2-01.

The specs of the handset are not that impressive, so don’t expect something like the Nokia N9 (read our Nokia N9 Preview to learn more about it) or the HTC Sensation (this HTC Sensation Review will help you find out more about HTC’s flagship), but still adding a QWERTY keyboard to a low-end handset is a good solution.

The handset has the following specs: 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 320 × 240, S40 OS, 128 MB of ROM, 55MB of storage space, 64MB of ROM, 2.0MP camera, microSD card support, Bluetooth and 1020 mAh battery.

The Nokia X2 is already available from T-Mobile in the U.S., thus the smartphone is expected to hit the stores of Fido sometime next week. The price of the handset will be something like $10 with a two-year or three-year contract, while the unlocked version is expected to be no more than $100.

Earlier this year Fido introduced the LG Optimus 2X, the Samsung Galaxy Q and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro.
