New XSeries Nokia Device: Nokia X6 8GB

by L.K. - on Jun 14th 2010 - No Comments

As it turns out Nokia X5 was not the only device to be presented in Singapore.  Well, we can hardly call Nokia X6 8GB to be a brand new device (the thing is that the earlier version of the device was announced at the beginning of the year and was equipped with a doubled 16GB of memory), but anyways its presentation during the telecommunication exhibition CommunicAsia 2010 was simply impressive.

This politics of the company is very correct – the user does not have to pay a large amount of money for the additional memory if it’s not in need.  The device with a larger memory was causing interest among those who like smartphones but the bad thing about it was the expensive pricing. In addition, initially smartphone was coming with Comes With Music service, which was adding some additional cost to the device in the amount of 100-120 Euros.

Now  the device is available in three versions – with 32 and 16 GB of internal memory and  respective services, as well as with the 8 GB version, which, judging by its overall appearance will not have  Comes With Music service. This will allow reducing the cost of the device around 225 Euros.

The official price of the device is still unknown, but there is no doubt that now it will be more than attractive.

Nokia X5 for Singapore

by L.K. - on Jun 14th 2010 - No Comments

Nokia officially announced its device Nokia X5 for the Singapore market.

This event took place in the  Nokia Connection 2010 event, which took place in Singapore. Developers formally presented the novelty as X5, but did not bother to disclose its detailed technical specs, so as for now nothing is still clear about the newest gadget.

So long we know that the device is running the Symbian S60 operating system, has a built-in camera with a matrix of 5 megapixels, as well as sliding QWERTY-keyboard.

It should also be noted that earlier a device with the same title was presented to the Chinese markets, which makes a small mess in the labeling of new products from Nokia. Nevertheless, the model Nokia X5, first introduced in Singapore, is a completely different device and does not have anything in common with the Chinese version of the X5.

Retail price for the slider Nokia X5 will be around 160 Euros.

The Finnish company Nokia has enriched its portfolio of TD-SCDMA devices with two new phones: Nokia X5 and Nokia C5. You already had a chance to read about the first of them in our blog, when we first became aware of the existence of this device, and of the fact that it will work in EGSM 850/900/1800/1900, WCDMA 900/1900/2100 networks and will be equipped with Bluetooth .

Nokia X5 is a smartphone running the 3rd Edition of Symbian S60 operating system. It is equipped with a 2.4 inch TFT-display with a resolution of 240×320 pixels, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED-flash, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR.

The built-in memory is 256 MB, in addition there is a slot for microSDHC (up to 8 GB) memory cards. The 3.5 mm audio jack can be used to connect headphones, there is also GPS  and access to all of the Ovi Store services. The appearance of this Nokia smartphone in Chinese market is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. The buyer can choose among the black, white and red colors.

The second device – Nokia C5 – is not entirely a new smartphone, of course. The model is just intended for Chinese TD-SCDMA third-generation networks.

Nokia X5 to Complement the Xseries Collection

The collection of multimedia phones of Nokia Xseries will still be presented only by two models  not too long(Nokia X3, Nokia X6 (with variations on the 16 GB and 32 GB)). Evidence of development and existence of the smartphone Nokia X5 have recently been found in the internet.

At the moment it is known that X5 can operate in the networks of the second and third generations, and will support data transfer via Bluetooth.
