Chinese Nokia X6 TV WiFi Knockoff

by GULLIVER - on Dec 15th 2010 - No Comments

When you hear about phone clones, you can be sure that they come from China. And here it goes again, another Chinese knock-off came out of the closet, this time the Nokia X6 TV WiFi.

The model features a 3.2-inch touch screen with 320 × 480 pixels resolution,  displaying up to 260,000 colors, a poor 1.3 megapixel camera and integrated music and video player.

Just like the name says the clone supports WiFi connections and also packs a TV tuner (SECAM). Other features include the presence of Bluetooth with the profile A2DP, slot for microSD memory cards up to 8 gigabytes, 87.7 megabytes of internal memory, mini USB, and 2.5 mm jack for headphones and headsets. Like many Chinese clones, the Nokia X6 has slots for two SIM cards.

Of course this fake toy can never swap a real Nokia handset and i am sure you will agree that it doesn’t worth a penny!

Nokia transitioned to Gorilla Glass touchscreens

by GULLIVER - on Dec 1st 2010 - No Comments

Yesterday during Nokia’s question and answer session on Twitter about Nokia Design Niilo Alfthan announced that Nokia’s all phones with glass displays are mad of Gorilla Glass. So we can conclude that starting with the Nokia X6 all handsets come with this technology, because The Nokia 5800 series phone before that was equipped with a resistive touchscreen and did not use a glass.

If you don’t know Gorilla Glass is an unscratchable, unshatterable material used as a protective window for your mobile phone, so the devices with this kind of display will always look like a new handset. So when you chose a phone for you besides other important features like processor, OS, screen size, you have to pay some attention to what material it is made of, and there is no other material which can compete with this one.

I think Nokia has noted all needed circumstances making its new high-end smartphones. And no matter how much people talk about Nokia’s failure during last years, the company has been doing everything to please its users.

by GULLIVER - on Sep 1st 2010 - No Comments

This theme design may appeal the fans of high-tech and all things concerning the hi-tech. This newest option was created by the enthusiast named Bea and the name of the theme is Blue Tech. Plus it seems to me that you really need to like the blue color to agree for the installation of this new theme.

Blue Tech is suitable for phones based on Nokia S60v5 platform with touch screen and screen resolution of 360 × 640 pixels. By the way, some sports companies could take the idea of design. Nokia Ad Showing Android on Nokia 5230 and Nokia X6

by GULLIVER - on Jul 27th 2010 - No Comments

While walking down the Oxford Street in London, you’ll get a chance to witness a rather weird poster showing out two devices of Nokia brand. They are  Nokia 5230 and Nokia X6. No, there’s nothing weird about the device and the carrier in form of a popular 3.

The only unusual thing is that both of the devices are running Android operating system, which is so far has never been used as a basis for Nokia devices. And there are not even such plans to make any.

The reply from the company was something expected.  The Head of Mobile Solutions of Nokia Anssi Vanjoki that the idea of having Android is simply a rumor.

This means that the carrier should be at least more attentive while making the advertisement posters.
