Nokia rejects Symbian?

by Sona - on Nov 10th 2010 - No Comments

A year and half ago Nokia set the Symbian foundation under a non-profit banner, and now when it is losing its market share, everybody realizes the foundation needs some redirection. This fact is proved by the recent rumors the Symbian Foundation fell into a financial trouble.

Undoubtedly, Symbian is the most popular mobile OS and Nokia phones are the most sold phones around the world that’s why Nokia should be patient to please their users.

The Symbian foundation cooperated with Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and other technology manufacturers and telecommunication operators, but as it was reintegrated only with Nokia, it can become a “licensing body” according to the BBC. But here is a question –for whom they’ll be licensing Symbian as many firms moved to other operating systems.

Finally the Symbian foundation’s employees would be fired by April 2011 and it is expected the company will be practically dismantled. And what refers to the operating system, Nokia will look for international investments to bring Symbian back on a track.

Does it look like Nokia is going to reject Symbian?
