I stumbled upon this video when I was reading some tech news on the web. I watched it and was really surprised to learn that this little Love Story is shot by a phone camera… And not a simple phone, but the Nokia N8!

We’ve heard a lot about the Nokia N8 and its powerful 12MP camera, and we’ve seen the photos shot with the N8 by aerial photographer Jason Hawkes that once again prove the camera with its Zeiss optics is really great. But I personally have never seen any great, really great videos shot with it. And now, here it is — a great video…

This video called “Splitscreen: A Love Story” is the winner of the Nokia Shorts competition 2011. Have a look:

The Nokia N8 has a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (360 x 640 pixels) that shows 16M colors and supports the multi-touch input method, 680 MHz ARM 11 processor, Broadcom BCM2727 GPU, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 16 GB storage and a microSD card slot. As for the battery, it’s a Li-Ion 1200 mAh that provides up to 12 h (2G) (up to 5 h 50 min (3G)) of talk-time, up to 390 h (2G) (up to 400 h (3G)) of stand-by time and up to 50 hours of music play.

Besides, the Nokia N8 runs the updated Symbian Anna, has some special apps developed for it and some other great features that were unknown for many of us.

Firstly make sure you have your ‘Google Sync’ option enabled in Service Settings > Mobile.

Go on with the following steps:

• Create New Mailbox and select the Mail for Exchange option.
• Enter your details leaving the Domain option blank.
• Tap Next until you see the Mail for Exchange Server option and enter m.google.com.
• Finally decide what and how to sync and you’re done.

But now, it’s just one of those few cases where this happened.The offered video is fairly qualitative. But this is not surprising – after all Nokia N8 Finnish company is positioned as a cameraphone due to the correspondance to Nseries from Nokia.

After a week and a half of the first video demonstration of a smartphone interface of  Nokia N8,   another great video got released . This time the Finnish manufacturer has shown the opportunities of its software designed to work with videos and photos.

With the help of the established image editor you can crop photos, perform operations on color correction, add captions and cliparts. Of course, when viewing the image in zoom option multi-touch function needs to be used. Video editing enables you to combine multiple clips, or comment on, etc.

The video shows that the pre-installed software of the Nokia N8 also supports a list of other function. One of those is the possibility of the support for iMovie and Windows Movie Maker.
