Nokia’s first smartphone running Microsoft’s newly launched Windows Phone Mango is already available in several European countries like the UK and Germany. So it’s France’s turn and we have some gladsome news for French consumers. Virgin Mobile France has announced via its Twitter account that the Nokia Lumia 800 will be available in the country not earlier than January. Of course, that’s a bit disappointing, because I guess many users have been dreaming of having the phone by Christmas time.

I understand what made you upset, as I myself am deeply in love with the Nokia Lumia 800 because of its features.

The Nokia Lumia 800 specs list

  • 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
  • 16GB storage, 512MB of RAM
  • 8MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual-LED flash
  • 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor
  • Standard 1450mAh battery providing up to 9.5 hours of talk time.

Unfortunately, we don’t know at what price tag the phone will come, but European mobile operators always make affordable offers, so we hope this time again we’ll see the same. Moreover, we are positively surprised at what Nokia, Microsoft and operators are doing currently, that’s why the Nokia Lumia 800 shows record numbers of pre-orders.
